After an impressive run with his 2021 single Cold Outside featuring BNXN fka Buju which dominated the Apple Music singles chart in about 20 countries and accumulated over a 100 million streams, award-winning Nigerian singer and songwriter Timaya is back with new single Get My Money Right. The track produced by Spotless (who has collaborated with Wizkid and Wyclef Jean) is the second single off his upcoming album Chuloverse scheduled to launch later this year via Empire. As the song title implies, the track focuses on Timaya’s current stage in his career which is his creating music and earning money while evading negative energy.
Inspired by international music moguls, Jay-Z and Kanye West, Timaya recently disclosed his goal of becoming the first billionaire in African entertainment and his intent to inspire African youths through his journey to believe that they can also create global brands, become billionaires too, and more importantly, make money legitimately, despite society’s misconceptions of them.
