Earlier this month, Tobi Lou made it to Essence’s list of Most Anticipated Albums Of Fall 2020, flying his nonconformist flag high with his off-kilter but welcome take on Hip hop which he has continued to spin in many colorful ways since his breakout single, Game Ova was released way back in 2016. Off the back of the acclaimed, Student Loans, the Chicago based Nigerian rapper doubles back with loosie Notice Me, a tuneful plea for attention that leverages his penchant for unadulterated rap.

Produced by G Slow, the atmospheric single built on a plane of a mix of sprightly percussions including what sounds like xylophones, comes with a video that mirrors the chill energy Tobi Lou exudes as he offloads his syrupy pleas. He’s assisted by Mia Gladstone, whose mesmeric vocals seals the single’s sweet harmony and whose presence is befitting in the airy ride Tobi Lou takes through the countryside.
