Tome Taps Legendury Beatz for Amapiano Single ‘Wait’

For her latest single, Tome collaborates with Legendury Beatz on an Amapiano number titled Wait. The record functions as the first single off her 12 track album No Long Talk slated for release in early 2022. This will build upon the momentum of her   her JUNO Award winning single I Pray with Sean Kingston. She offers an assertive and confident tone boasting that “even Aliko Dangote does not have my kind of money”.

The beat is distinguished by its high-pitched piano melodies, Kwaito basslines, and low tempo South African house rhythms blended with percussions which Tome glides over. Speaking on the song, she said;

 “I want to dominate global sounds, Amapiano is a global sound; not just for now, but for the future. So I had to give it my best shot for the culture and to create something timeless with a life of its own that people in Africa and the World could vibe to”
