Tomi Owó releases Sweet New Single ‘Bird’

In anticipation of her forthcoming project, ‘Amethyst’, singer-songwriter Tomi Owó has returned with a brand new single titled Bird. Produced by award-winning Swedish producer/film composer, Joel Humlén, Bird is an eclectic pop fusion sound, 

Centered around being in a state of complete freedom, Tomi sings about flying free like a bird, and going where your wings take you. Speaking on the inspiration for the song, the young artist said, “I wrote this song in a time the world had to grapple with ease of movement due to the pandemic, and the same way I imagined myself being out there, free, makes me think about how blessed we are to be able to feel free in our minds and eventually move past things that try to hold us back.”

Just 3-minutes long, Bird is short and sweet, with a mellow and slightly whimsical undertone that highlights Tomi’s silky voice. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, her sound has been described as a “musical palette”, with splashes of urban soul, pop, indigenous sounds, and more eclectic arrangements.

The rising star believes that music is a gift from everything that exists and that her musical journey is one of harvesting the music in everything.
