Troms is set to pull at the heartstrings with his latest project—an introspective and emotionally charged 7-track EP that explores the delicate balance between love and ambition. Known for his vulnerable songwriting and unfiltered storytelling, the Lagos-born artist invites listeners on a journey through romance, self-discovery, and the strategic nature of relationships in a city that never sleeps.
Opening with Wayoo, the EP begins on a deeply reflective note. Troms wrestles with identity, purpose, and faith, crafting a soulful meditation on becoming. It’s an anthem for anyone navigating uncertainty and seeking divine direction.
From introspection to the intoxication of love, FYA follows as an electrifying record drenched in the euphoria of romance. With hypnotic melodies and evocative lyrics, Troms captures the reassurance that comes with being truly seen—painting a sonic portrait of devotion.
On Think of You, he switches gears into a playful, carefree groove, basking in the warmth of companionship. “I can’t imagine a life without you,” he declares on the breezy, feel-good record that celebrates love in its purest form.
But Heartstrings isn’t all rosy. With Half Love, Troms offers a raw glimpse into the complexities of modern romance in Lagos. Here, love is a game of strategy—often unreciprocated. The song’s haunting production and candid lyrics paint the city’s romantic landscape in vivid, melancholic tones.
The EP also features Starlight, a previously released fan favorite that highlights Troms’ effortless blend of introspection and airy, melodic cadences.
Closing the project is Iron Bender, a heartfelt ode to anticipation and longing. Troms lays bare his emotions as he waits for the return of a lover, merging tenderness with quiet vulnerability—a fitting conclusion that cements his reputation as a gifted storyteller.
At just 22, Troms (born Raheem Moses Oluwaseun) is already carving out a unique space in music that many spend a lifetime trying to define. Raised in Lagos within a family steeped in music and entertainment, his early years were filled with school and church performances. By 2020, Troms had set his sights on the world stage.
Influenced by artists like Jon Bellion, JP Saxe, Moelogo, and Jazmine Sullivan, Troms’ sound exists at the intersection of soul, groove, and introspection—music that lingers long after it ends. With Heartstrings, he takes another bold step toward becoming one of Nigeria’s most exciting emerging exports.
