The Niger Delta Avengers have frequently taken to Twitter to claim responsibility for terrorist attacks and issue threats on government properties and human life.
The terrorist group has, however, been met by hard handed actions by Twitter who have taken down their account following their boasting about carrying out attacks on 5 oil facilities.
According to Twitter, the account had to be suspended as it clearly violated the social media website’s policies on violence and terrorism.
The rules state that nobody may “make threats of violence or promote violence, including or promoting terrorism.”
The Niger Delta Avengers carried out their latest attack on Sunday when they blew up two Chevron oil wells.
