Two Attacks Led to The Kidnap of 31 in Kaduna Yesterday

With the havoc Boko Haram has delivered on North Eastern Nigeria, other groups intending to cause harm have been empowered and yesterday was another show of the fear Nigerians in these territories must live with as two separate attacks led to the kidnapping of 31 individuals in Kaduna according to PUNCH.

The Kwanan-Dutse and Labi villages in the Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State were said to be the two territories hit sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday. The kidnappers were said to have made their way into the villages with military rifles and dressed in military regalia.

On Tuesday, the local Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in Birnin-Gwari, Mallam Danladi Duniya confirmed the attacks before then going on to again confirm on Wednesday that an addition 21 passengers were abducted in Labi village along the same road. It is believed that many of those who were kidnapped were heading towards the North from the South on the quest for business.

Duniya said the union had begun to mobilise vigilance groups to go into the forest in search of those kidnapped.
