Port Harcourt-bred rapper, singer, and songwriter, Majesty Lyn (also known as “Unicorn Bae” and “The Flowshifter”) is gearing up to release a bouncy new single titled Notice on Friday, July 15, 2022.
Coming off her fourth EP, ‘Things on Things’ the single marks Majesty Lyn’s re-emergence into the Afro-Fusion/Afro-RnB soundscape, and is set to be a fan-favorite. Produced by Tuzi, Notice is a rhythmic, uplifting song for young Nigerians who are going through the hustle and bustle of everyday life, doing their best to make a name for themselves in a country rife with challenges, while trying to keep their faith alive. The catchy chorus and reassuring lyrics remind listeners to trust the process and believe in their capabilities, telling them that “dem go notice” when success comes knocking on their doors.
As an Afro-Fusion artist experimenting with unique styles, tones, and melodies, Majesty Lyn has an interesting sound that she describes as “Afro-Progressive”. She has written for the likes of CKay, Blaqbonez, Fireboy DML, and many other artists in the Nigerian music scene, and has garnered the attention of Don Jazzy, Adekunle Gold, Falz, and Peruzzi with her covers and original songs.
