This week, US-based sister duo, VanJess, join the slew of black musicians including Chloe x Halle and SZA, sharing magical moments with a comeback single titled Come Over that encompasses the very essence of their sound, old school soul woven into what’s informally known today as Shea Butter music. Come Over is a feel-good love song with a little bit of everything, a groovy soundscape, refreshing, relatable lyrics, and the sisters’ come-hither style, all of which forms the basis of the single’s captivating aura.
The mesmeric single is accompanied by a Kalani Kelly video that opens with an alluring shot of the sisters sitting on stairs, inviting their lovers, and by extension, listeners, by way of sound and sight to come over.
