That Nigeria’s Police Force has a long way to go is no news. With the handling of a case with Davido in 2017, we saw how much media training the force needs to undergo when Lagos State’s Commissioner of Police read out the pop star’s home address on live television. This time, he hands over the reigns to his superior for the gaffe. Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Kpotun Idris had to deliver a speech as the force commissioned a new building. To call it a gaffe is an understatement because quite frankly nobody can tell me they have any idea what the man was trying to say.
