Waf. x Quacktails Unite Communities with New Collab

Posted on

Over the years, WAFFLESNCREAM (Waf.) and Quacktails have respectively been at the forefront of their scenes. Waf., a collective of creatives, spearheads the skateboard community in Nigeria. Being the first of its kind in Nigeria, they play a significant role in building the skating culture in the country. Not limited to skating, they also have a streetwear brand, VIBES platform and more avenues that amplify the communities they align with.

Since becoming popular in 2020, Quacktails has taken a hold of hearts and inhibitions. When the world was locked down, the potency of their cocktails was (and still is) one thing that could be counted on. Since then, they have become a staple in Lagos youth gatherings.

The two brands, beloved to the Lagos social scene, have now come up with an exciting collaboration.

Waf’s streetwear meets Quacktails. On the surface, there’s hardly a connection between these brands. However, a similarity lies in the courage to turn a hobby into a thriving community and a viable business, bar expectations. The inception of these brands stems from a need to do and be more… while having a good time. Who said a lawyer and a banker can’t become mixologists? Or that it was impossible to build a community of young skaters in Nigeria?

Their interesting collaboration births the release of a line of items: t-shirts, dad hats, a booklet with drink recipes to test out and colouring sheets. Beyond cool drunken ducks t-shirts, this collaboration is proof that even at quack levels, a lot can be built.

Tomorrow, both brands will also host a pop up experience.
