Wande Coal And Wizkid revive their promise of a joint album in a conversational thread between both Afrobeat giants originating from a tweet by the former teasing new music hinting at a collaboration with Wizkid whose vocals are as sharp and recognizable as a bird’s call in the 1 minute long snippet titled It’s A Vibe. An apt title considering the combination of EDM and Afrobeat instrumentals powered by mumble raps and lazy crooning articulated by both artistes is packing heat.

This joint project might be as a result of the commercial successes of recently released collaborative projects including Simi and Falz’s Chemistry, the itch to fulfill a promise long ignored and left unfulfilled or the realization that working together on an Album or EP might produce more heat than individual projects seeing as the chemistry between both artistes established way back in 2011 in Wizkid’s For Me is one that shouldn’t be taken for granted.
Whatever the reason for this stale desire is, it’s welcome and we’re highly anticipating a full length project; single or combined from the duo. Wande Coal’s hit making streak from 2017 can clearly not be destroyed.
