Watch AKA And Kiddominant Take It To The Streets In Fela In Versace Video

Paying homage to a music legend stems most times from either the undeveloped superstition that alludes an oncoming positive light surrounding the life of the homage payer, blatant familiarizing or a need for publicity. What better way for lauded and controversial South African rapper; AKA to bow out of the game than with an offering of a 16 track Album featuring a smashing and controversial single dedicated to Nigerian music legend and activist titled ‘Fela In Versace‘ which features Nigerian hit making producer; Kiddominant; as a Producer and Singer.

The tuneful bass heavy single which was released earlier this year finally has visuals to go with Aka and Kiddominant’s racy lyricism. The Nate Thomas directed video though surprisingly shot in South Africa borders on carefree living that in a way insinuates the lifestyle legendary afrobeat pioneer musician, Fela Kuti lived.

Aka and Kiddominant are seen trailblazing through south african suburbs with their versace clad crew exploring the streets while paying homage to African music legends and a luxury mansion where Aka continues to drop spotty bars with sonorous help from Kiddominant before hitting the stage.

In the final scene, Aka throws up his fingers to form the ‘peace out’ sign to his audience. An indication of a final goodbye perhaps?
