The latest stop for Davido was in Cannes where he spoke at the Midem Africa Forum on the rise of African music and the cultural significance in other creative scenes. He talks about his beginnings as a musician, the relationship with his family and how that has evolved, his SONY deal and taking back the reins of his career, performing at some of the world’s biggest shows in the coming months and working with international acts and continuing to work on his album.
He also reflects on some of the aims he has in creating something bigger than himself and helping to empower the next generation of musicians from the African continent.
