Losing My Religion

“Losing My Religion” is a short film directed by Damilola E. Orimogunje based on Nigerian/US-based author Nike Campbell-Fatoki’s story of the same name from an anthology of short stories titled “Bury Me Come Sunday Afternoon”.

The short film, which will be Damilola’s third work following the success of his previous works Mo(a drama about a teenage girl who became a sex-slave and is fighting to regain her freedom) and Family(a film on the alarming rate of suicide in the society), is about religious fanatism and revolves around a young boy who’s failed by all the institutions (church, family, school) he believes in.

The film stars Omowunmi Dada, Brutus Richard, Toyin Oshinaike, Fred Idehen, and newcomer lead, Ihiechineke Anthony. The film is scheduled to commence its festivals run from October this year.
