Meta, formerly known as Facebook, brought together a bunch of creators to experience the metaverse for the first time together at its Flex Naija event.
The event which is in line with the company’s plans to expand and lead the growth and adoption of the metaverse globally followed its previous Creators Day in Lagos, Nigeria where it brought together over 50 creators across tech, lifestyle, entertainment, travel, beauty and fashion to hangout, learn, and connect.
Hosted by former Big Brother housemate, actress and tv host Bisola, the Flex Naija event partnered with creators to flex in the metaverse using Meta AR, avatars, and NFTs.
Influencers and creators who graced the event include Kagan Tech, Salem King, King Pexxie, Nonye Udeogu, Yehmah Areh, Sheda, Lade Ibikunle, David Eluemunoh, Anthony Azekwoh, Frank Itom, Seun Ajayi, Eefomma Zuriel Elentiya, and Elozonam. The event was blessed with excellent performances from Ayra Starr, Teni Makanaki, and Santi who brought the Subaru World experience to show. DJ TGarbs was also on deck throughout the entire event and her delivery was unquestionable.
One of the partners of the Meta Flex Naija event was MTN and on their Twitter and Instagram pages they shared highlights of the show. Bella Naija was also on ground capturing beautiful moments from the show. The event was hosted at the Livespot Entertarium in Lagos.
