Nana Rogues’s To The Max came at a time when Wizkid’s fans were desperate for just a lick of sonic offerings from him. The Producer turned Singer did us all one better by combining forces with Wizkid and Afrobeat Grime sensation of the moment; Not3s for a solid execution of the combination of sensual lyrics and busy but interesting soundscape surrounded by lax energy that makes up the percussion favored track. The trio take this mellow energy to the just released kaleidoscopic but hazy video which is split into a number of brightly coloured duochromatic backdrops hinged on varying psychedelic influences that gives credence to their laidback performances and inviting choreography.
Although we have not gotten much from Nana Rogues this year, he has and is consistently proving that he’s one to keep watching.
