Wizkid Promotes Bliss In Video For H.E.R-Assisted ‘Smile’

Wizkid’s long-awaited fourth studio album, Made In Lagos is looming on the horizon and to cushion its release just as he’s been doing these past few years, he shares the video for the recently released Smile featuring H.E.R.

Wizkid has never really concerned himself with the banalities of life but in the Meji Alabi-directed video, we glimpse through several happy faces including those of his three kids, the essence of the single. It is common and unsurprising to ascribe the change in his dynamic to a thirst for Western validation, but not only as he conquered the market but now easily blends in which is in part, what this video shows us. Wizkid captures this happy-go-lucky spirit he wants his listeners to imbibe as portrayed in different cultures, races, and orientations.

Not that we have not seen him evolve this past decade but with videos like this one, he completely reorientates his listeners by way of words and action.
