Wizkid Follows Through On His Promise With Two New Singles; Master Groove And Fever

Much ado about Gucci Snake, the intended first official single of the year from Starboy Record’s Head honcho; Wizkid led to a studio leak of the track and an eventual shutdown of the project which left his fans highly disappointed and antsy for new music. The numerous visual and audio features from the controversial Afrobeat connoisseur could only do so much in putting the rising hunger for new music at bay which he finally promised to put an end to last month.

He followed through on this promise today with not one but two records titled Fever and Master Groove which now respectively serve as his first and second official singles of the year and the first two from his highly anticipated fourth studio album.

On peddling and invigorating backdrops of traditional drums, bubbling synths and undulated saxophones rising in cadence to the heat he aims to conjure for his muses in both tracks, Wizkid transitions into one of many laidback crooning characters he assumes in his songs, albeit motivated by love this time and as he grinds through these Afrobeat delights and inspires movements, we’re reminded why he’s bagged so many awards and adopted the moniker ‘Starboy.

As usual Wizkid stays true to the roots that served as a pedestal to his rising by drenching both tracks in his signature compelling Afrobeat style which will see our playlists updated and give fans shiny lyrics to scream out in his upcoming end of the year concert.
