Not too long ago we got wind of the word that Wizkid and Future had worked together extensively and thankfully, after an initial push back, we no longer have to wait another day as the Shizzi-produced Everytime is released.
As a result of Everytime coming through Wizkid’s Soundcloud page, we’re arguing it is not a release under SONY Music in line with all the previous material that has come through the online audio distribution website. Since SFTOS, we’ve now received about 5 songs from Wiz, most of which particularly had the Nigerian market in mind however, he proves again what we’re tagging the story of 2017, the duality of our acts in the Nigerian music scene. With Wizkid and Davido, it’s been a Nigerian and American push we’ve seen since 2016 but others like Yemi Alade and Olamide are also pushing aggressively on two fronts in their bid to put Nigerian and African music on the map.
