Y.D.A’s Debut Album ‘Make Am’ Is A Tuneful Reflection Of His Come-up

Posted on

There’s not much to Y.D.A’s backstory, an independent Nigerian born singer/songwriter now based in Massachusetts, but his debut album, Make Am is filled to the brim with persona defining narratives, assessing and appraising his come-up.

The nine-track Make Am has a unique blend of varying sounds born out of Y.D.A’s affinity for experimentalism. This variety gives the album an appealing and encompassing Afro-fusion production feel.

Its versatility also stems from his inclusion of a wide range of subjects. Love, lust, and success among others make the cut to Y.D.A’s sonic manifesto. Tracks like titular, Make Am talk about success and Y.D.A’s inspirational journey while others like Woman and Hold Me touch on his hedonic side.

The nine-track project includes only one feature from fellow emerging artist PS Jovi. With a strong solo presence and the strong personalization of the project, Y.D.A has hopes of making a mark in the music industry on a global scale.
