Last year, YCee made a belated comeback with a trail of singles that led to his sophomore album. While the project kept him relevant, with just one video to keep his fans talking, it ran out of steam after a short while. YCee seeks to keep the machine running this year and he does that this week with the video for a fan favorite, Vacancy, off the project.
The TG Omori-directed video is a graphic take on Ycee’s sleazy lyrics that leverages the airy vibes the landscape backdrops bring about.
This is YCee’s first collaboration with the now popular video director and despite the novelty of their partnership, the video for Vacancy spotlights an alignment that’s likely to yield greater projects as the output is a lush harmony of the drum-driven sound delivered by him and TG Omori’s spectacular set.
