Yemi Alade’s rise to the top of the game in Africa has been marked by her ability to remain relevant all year round with a constant supply of new releases. In June, she released Mama Afrique which saw her create French versions to some of her earlier material, a move she has regularly employed. Miss Alade, however has already moved on to pushing the project which was an extension of her 2016 album, Mama Africa with videos and the first is for Charliee, one of the lead singles off the project.
In the video which was directed by Paul Gambit, we see the self proclaimed Mother of Africa take a page out of comedian, Gloria Oloruntobi also known as Maraji’s playbook as she dons a tape on beard and makes advances on other women.
