Ebonylife Films are known for their profitable December comedies. The latest is Your Excellency, a political comedy that follows the unexpected rise of Chief Olalekan Ajadi, a political outsider, in a presidential campaign.
Nigeria is thrown into a social media frenzy when the most unlikely candidate ever decides to run for president. His unexpected rise intrigues the public, as they begin to believe it is possible for an outsider to aspire to the highest public office. As the story reaches its climax, you begin to believe that anything and everything can happen if you capture the imagination of a nation through the power of social media.
The film stars Funke Akindele and Akin Lewis in leading roles while bringing in characters from Ebonylife Films’ cinematic universe, most notably Falz’s Femi Beecroft from Chief Daddy. Other cast members include Shaffy Bello, Bimbo Manuel, Toni Tones, Chigurl, Christian Paul, Beverly Osu, Helen Paul, Osas Ighadaro, Kemi Lala Akindoju and Ikechukwu Onunaku.
Your Excellency will make its grand premiere at the new Ebonylife Place on December 8, 2019 and open in cinemas nationwide from December 13.
