Alternative soul singer Bez Idakula discusses pioneering the alternative scene in Nigeria, his past albums—Super Sun and Gbagyi Child—and the journey to the current The Light with Ebonylife TV. The Stupid Song singer also touched on his absence from the music scene to rediscover himself.
In the 11-track masterpiece The Light, we see Bez fuse lot of afrobeat into his sound; echoing his pursuit of reinvention in his approach to music. The Light is very experimental, it isn’t as soulful as his magnum opus Super Sun, but it is a much better record than the fleeting Gbagyi Child.
