ClassiQ highlights the beauty of the North in the Gargajiya video

ClassiQ, the rapper signed to Chocolate City is no newcomer. His vast discography, which is largely performed in the Hausa language position him as the conveyor of Hausa hip-hop. His list of collaborators include the likes of  M.I., Jesse Jagz and Vector. Continuing to add his flavor to Nigerian culture and language; the video to his 2018 single Gargajiya brings this to the fore. 

The video celebrates the Northern culture in a colorful and picturesque way as a bid to take control of the narrative around its representation. The video explores the different manifestations of culture. It definitely tells of the beauty the Northern culture holds amidst the negative imagery presented in the media.
