Davido To Visit 9 African Countries During 30 Billion Africa Tour

Following an extensive World Tour that saw the pop star take to North America, Europe and Africa, Davido releases the dates for his 30 Billion Africa Tour. With only about half the number of shows from the World Tour confirmed at the moment, it looks like the 30 Billion Gang have gone against the idea of stacking up the shows back to back as was opted for on the world stage. This could be as a result of an understanding of the African continent’s shortcomings and the relative inability to travel by trains or road as well as the fact that no single country has consecutive shows up until the last two shows which shall both be hosted in Lagos.

The confirmed countries so far include Nigeria, South Africa, Angola, Guinea, Botswana, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe with 15 shows to be delivered. The decision to have four Lagos shows and none in any other Nigerian cities must be questioned however, the suggestion at the moment is that more dates will be added presumably in the time frame between the second Lagos and Angola shows.

It will definitely be interesting to see Mayorkun join his label leader on the 30 Billion Africa Tour, most especially at the shows outside Nigeria, a move which will continue to help him consolidate his position as the biggest breakout act in the Afro-pop scene over the past 18 months.
