Mayorkun Eases The Anticipators With New Afropop Single, Che Che

As the Nigerian music system continues to find its feet, the touring and live show ecosystem is one that will need immense work done on it. Considering the size of the country, it’s sometimes disappointing that artists choose to cater solely to the Lagos and environs market. A more sensible approach will see prominent student cities like Jos, Port Harcourt, Benin, Calabar, Ibadan and Yola put to use in spreading the musical footprint.

That said, Davido’s label DMW have tried to take the approach of being broad minded by touring far and wide in the bid to solidify its place as the nation’s premier music label. Mayorkun, the label’s second biggest act has announced a concert that will see label mates like Davido, hometown hero, Dremo, Yonda, Ichaba, Peruzzi, Idowest, Small Doctor, Skales amongst others.

The show will take place at Ibadan’s Palms Mall and will be a free show.

Here’s to more artists spreading their tentacles across the 36 states.
