Oshoala and Mane Crowned CAF African Players of the Year. See Full Winner's List

At the 2019 CAF Awards held in Hurghada, Egypt last night, Liverpool forward Sadio Mane and FC Barcelona Femení forward Asisat Oshoala emerged the African Player of the Year and African Women’s Player of the Year.

Mane won the award ahead of fellow teammate, Mohammed Salah who amassed 325 votes to the Senegalese forward’s 477. In the Women’s category, the difference was much smaller as Oshoala outsaw her competition, Cameroonian Ajara Nchout by 30 votes to win the award for the fourth time in her career.
