Ibadan born forward, Olanrewaju Kayode has completed a deal that will send him from to Ukrainian side Shaktar Donetsk on a five year contract from Manchester City.
Signing for City in August 2017, Kayode never played for the side before he was loaned off to Spanish outfit, Girona where he made 14 appearances without hitting the back of the net. His spell at Girona was followed by some time at Shaktar where Kayode scored three goals in eight appearances for the Ukrainian side before they decided to move to make his place on the team permanent.
Kayode’s contract will run until 2022.
He represented Nigeria at the 2009 and 2011 Under-17 and Under-20 World Cups respectively and made his senior debut in a friendly against Senegal in March 2017 and has gone on to win four caps for the side.
