Sosa Yande’s ‘Solitary’ Is For The Millennials Trying To Find Their Place

Posted on

Sosa Yande is a star in the making. Her debut track ‘Solitary’ and its somber lyrics instill a sense of wanting to belong in a world that won’t fully accept her for who she truly is on the outside: a loner. Sosa seems to be searching for anyone that could ease the pains from loneliness but to no avail although she masks this pain through beautiful melodies and lyrics.

With lines like “I’m dreaming like I’m living in this world alone,” many millennials can relate relate heavily especially the ones in their early twenties looking for a place to belong and stand put in the world.

Comparable to Rihanna’s “Rated R” era, there’s a hinge of painful but it reminds you to appreciate the better days of your life. It’s also a breath of fresh air from the usual formulaic Nigerian “turnup” music that lacks substance.

If you love slow but insightful songs this is for you.

Can’t wait to see what Sosa Yande has coming next, in the mean time, here is Solitary.
