Family Feud is a popular American game show where two families compete against each other, whilst answering questions, to win cash and other prices. Steve Harvey’s version which has been airing in America since 2006 is coming to Mzansi, South Africa and Ghana in 2020.
“Bringing Family Feud to Africa has long been a dream of mine,” The entertainer said as he is already in Johannesburg making arrangements for the 2020 pilot broadcast. Steve Harvey hopes to use this show to: “lead to multiple media and business projects in and throughout the continent.”
The show is to be produced by Rapid Blue, a company under the BBC with a history of re-inventing international shows such as Dancing with Stars, X Factor, First Dates with an African spin. The South African version of Family Feud is set to start production this October and will air between the months of May-August, 2020.
