ROK Studios has released the trailer for Raising Jobestina, the series spinoff of Tope Alake’s 2017 hit comedy Picture Perfect. The series is created by Biodun Stephen who penned the original film. Lead actors Bolanle Ninalowo and Mary Njoku reprise their roles as Jobe and Kumbi respectively.
Picture Perfect: Raising Jobestina will focus on Jobe and Kumbi co-parenting Jobestina and how that intersects their different worlds. From the trailer, Kumbi still regrets birthing a child for Jobe; she minimizes the time he gets to spend with her and she is hiding Jobestina from her own family.
In the original film, Jobe, then a notorious area boy, saves Kumbi from thugs when her car breaks down in the middle of the night. He watches over the car all night, but things quickly turned sour between them when she failed to compensate him satisfactorily.
If you saw the movie, then you are in for a treat as we follow the lives of Jobe and Kumbi and how they co–parent Jobestina.
Rasing Jobestina stars Yvonne Jegede, Karen Spikes, Madam Saje, Nkechi Blessings and Blessing Jessica Obasi. Bisola Aiyeola, who played Kumbi’s fun friend, Kiksy, is notably absent.
The film is produced by Njoku’s ROK Studios in conjunction with Stephen’s Shutter Speed Projects.
