5 Ways To Change Your Style Through Your Body

Posted on

Many of us want to try a new look from time to time, but millennials in particular love to try out new styles and ideas on themselves. However, you can change your style in ways that do not just revolve around what clothes you wear. So, how can you quickly change your style?

Utilise hair accessories

Hair accessories are a great way to display your individuality and to change up your look. This can be done by wearing headbands, scrunchies, hair clips, or even wearing some funky and colourful bobbles. However, if you want to pay homage to your Nigerian roots, you could wear a gele. Gele’s come in a wide range of colours and designs, making them perfect for any special occasion (or even casual occasions).

Consider getting a new piercing

Piercings are a great way to change your look, and if you decide later on that you do not like your piercing anymore, you can stop wearing your piercings, and nobody will notice that you have piercings. Ear piercings, in particular, are a nice way to express your own style, as you can wear different kinds of earrings depending on your mood or outfit for the day. However, if you want to get a piercing that is a bit more exciting, then you could look into belly button piercings. You could get a diamond belly ring find it here which you can use to accessorise any outfit which includes a crop top or a bralette. Nevertheless, it would help if you remember to take care of your piercings and to keep them clean; otherwise, you could risk getting an infection.

If the thought of getting a piercing is too daunting for you, you can get false earrings that stay on your ears through the use of a magnet. This holds the earring in place, and as far as anyone else can tell, you have pierced ears. You cannot tell the difference!

Get a tattoo

Tattoos are another form of self-expression, and many people view them as works of art with the human body as the canvas. Tattoos can be good for changing your entire look. However, it is crucial that you remember that tattoos are very difficult to change once they have been drawn on, so you should never get a tattoo without thinking the decision over carefully beforehand. Tattoos can also be painful to sit through, so if you cannot handle pain, it may be difficult to finish the procedure, and you do not want an unfinished tattoo on your body.

If you like the thought of a tattoo but do not like the idea of it being a permanent part of your body, you can buy temporary tattoos that you stick onto your body. These can be changed depending on your mood and outfit.

Dye your hair

Our hair is one of the greatest tools at our disposal for expressing ourselves. This is a temporary way of changing your style, but it will last for some time, so you should not rush into this decision either. However, hair can be dyed in almost any colour that you want. It should be remembered that Black hair can be more difficult to dye, so you should go and have it done professionally so that the job is done well with the least amount of damage done to your hair.

Similarly to tattoos, you could fake that your hair has been dyed. You can buy wigs of different colours, and this way, your hair does not have to go through the process of being dyed, which, even when done well, does damage to your hair.

Cut your hair

If you do not want to dye your hair, you could have it cut. The one benefit of this is that if you do not like the hairstyle that you have chosen, it will soon begin to grow back out, and it will be as if nothing changed. On the other hand, if you have always had long hair, then a sudden crop cut will change your entire look.

If you cannot bear to part with your long hair, you could have your hair beaded. You could arrange the colours of the beads in a pattern to suit your outfit for the day or have them placed randomly. Either way, hair beads are a great way of injecting colour into your outfit, and they will help you to stand out from the crowd.
