Africa Unplugged dubbed the Glastonbury of the African music scene, is kicking off in London at the flagship
O2 Academy Brixton on Sunday 14th September and ends at The Ritz Manchester on Sunday 21st September 2014.
The festival’s main objective is to promote ONE AFRICA: UNITED with this year’s awareness campaign focusing on Africa’s struggle against child trafficking and child abuse. The campaign was chosen on behalf of the missing Chibok schoolgirls in Nigeria. Africa Unplugged supports and voices out to #BringBackOurGirls. Africa Unplugged 2014 will be hosted by the legendary DJ Abass and will headline Africa’s hottest artists of 2014: MTV and BET award winners Davido, Tiwa Savage and Diamond Platnumz head the line-up with the best newcomers representing Africa and the United Kingdom, including Britain’s Got Talent’s CEO dancers, and dance groups AFRIKA, D3 and PROJECT G. The official DJ is Capital Extra’s Afrobeats pioneer DJ Abrantee.

The festival will kick off in London at the 02 Academy Brixton on the Sunday 14th September and end at the RITZ Manchester on Sunday 21st September.
