Agho Bridges Continents with his Debut EP “206”

Nigerian American musician, Agho, makes an impressive debut into the music industry with his EP titled 206, a two sided project with Side A released on the 30th of June and Side B to be announced soon. In 2020, he released his successful single Smooth MF, featuring Ayo Jay and Dj Tunez which amassed over 3 million streams on all platforms, with 1.5 million streams on Spotify alone.

Agho’s EP offers a glimpse into his range of emotions as he gives thought-provoking political assessments of his native country as well as personal reflections on life in New York City and his encounters with women. It is a  cohesive fusion of Afrobeats, Reggae, and Afro-pop elements that bridges continents and speaks to listeners from all walks of life.

The title 206 has a sentimental meaning for Agho. It references the score of an exam he took back home called JAMB, which was his first encounter with the number. Since then, the number 206 has made an appearance at random moments in his life, from clock digits to building numbers and random places. Agho interprets this as a sign to follow his dreams and sees it as a constant reminder to strive toward his aspirations.
