Ajebo Hustlers Offer Honour With New EP “Onorato”
The Port Harcourt boys are back!
Port Harcourt-born duo Ajebo Hustlers—rapper Knowledge and singer Piego—have carved their path as storytellers of everyday life, blending Afro-pop melodies with the gritty slang of their hometown. From humble beginnings as friends bonding over music, the pair has risen to become one of Nigeria’s most compelling acts, channeling real-life experiences, social commentary, and streetwise wisdom into their music. Their journey, rooted in ambition and resilience, has led them to this defining moment: the release of their new EP Onorato.
Onorato (meaning “honour should be given to”), is a four-track ode to claiming their place in music. Each song navigates life’s contrasts: the hunger for success (ambition), yearning (longing), playful romance, and bold intimacy (sexual daring). Tracks like Ave Maria is a groovy track, while Velvet others strip back to soulful confessions. Each track is a mosaic of their experiences, weaving vulnerability and swagger into a sound that’s unmistakably theirs.
Ajebo Hustlers keep it concise, letting quality reign. Onorato thrives on balance—moody basslines meet shimmering hooks, and introspective verses melt into sing-along choruses.
It’s a nod to their growth: two artists unafraid to evolve while staying rooted in the streets that shaped them. “We want the world to see our depth,” says Piego. “Whether it’s a party jam or a song about life’s pressures, we’re here to connect.” With this EP, they don’t just demand respect—they’ve already earned it.
