When Ajebutter 22 released his debut album, Anytime Soon, he entered territory many artists in the search for mainstream success had been reluctant to go into and paved the way for younger acts to take the leap from singles to a full body of work. Since then, he has released a stream of singles enough to keep him in conversation and truly hit home with his two 2016 releases, Bad Gang and Lagos Big Boy which particularly sparked social media conversation in similar fashion to earlier tracks like Badman Freestyle and Omo Pastor. On his latest release, Ghana Bounce, he doesn’t pander to lingo that is likely to hit social media home runs however, he shares a track that sees him alternate between Yoruba and English with perfection as usual.
On the record, Ajebutter shares lines no mother wants her young children listening to over a Studio Magic beat that consists of a base line created by drums.
