Ambode’s convoy stops robbery attack on Lagos-Ibadan expressway

The convoy of Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode came to the rescue as they brought an end to a robbery on Thursday according to the Vanguard.

The robbers were said to be dressed as policemen at the popular Long Bridge on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway at about 8pm. They are reported to have established a barricade which forced motorists to stop. This was the case until the convoy of Governor Ambode engaged the robbers in a fire fight.

A source at the governor’s office, who confirmed the incident said the convoy was returning from Osun state where Ambode had attended the President’s visit.
