Asake Partners With TG Omori For “Organise” Music Video

Posted on

Asake has released the music video of his hit song Organise, with TG Omori directing it. An instant hit song upon its release, Organise features in Asake’s debut album Mr Money With The Vibe, released to wide acclaim this September through Empire Distribution.

The non-narrative video opens with a scene where Asake lords over a classroom of skinheads, and then it cuts to one where what seems like a shady business transaction is taking place, and then we see these skinheads in cinema seats, all the while the video establishes no connection between these scenes, their presence somewhat arbitrary, a strain seen in some TG Omori’s videos.

TG Omori, who has enjoyed a fine run and massive goodwill on social media this year, having directed music videos for big names like Fireboy DML, Kizz Daniel and Mayorkun, reenacts old stylistic habits in the Organise music video. Both his preference for grandeur and his knack of situating music video incidents in a crowd feature prominently in this video. Just as a crowd backdrop Asake in this video, so too are they a standout feature in the music videos of Fireboy’s Bandana and Kizz Daniel’s pan-African and Mardi Gras-themed Buga, both released this year and directed by TG Omori.

With this release, Asake and TG Omori perpetuate their relationship, the latter having directed the music videos of Peace Be Unto You and Terminator, both likewise in Asake’s debut album.

Since its release on Tuesday, the Organise music video has garnered over a million views on YouTube.
