Atiku understands Nigerian economy better, will perform more than Buhari – OBJ

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has stated that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has the capacity to perform better than the incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari, when he gets into power.

Obasanjo said this when Atiku visited him at his residence in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital where he publicly declared his support for him.

He said Atiku is someone who understands Nigeria’s economy better and has the experience that can make the administration business-friendly by providing jobs.

“I personally know you have the capacity to perform better than the incumbent.

“You surely understand the economy better; you have the business experience, which can make your administration business-friendly and boost the economy and provide jobs”.

Obasanjo also said he has forgiven Atiku over their long standing rift and urged him to work with other party men for his election.

“Whenever or wherever you might have offended me, as a Christian who asks for

God’s forgiveness of my sins and inadequacies on daily basis, I forgive and I sincerely advise you to learn from the past and do what is right and it will be well with you. Obviously, you have mended fences with the Party and fully reconciled with the Party. That’s why today, you are the Presidential Candidate of the Party.”
