Ben Bruce believes ‘asthmatic’ Melaye had to jump off moving police bus to save himself from death

Senator Ben Bruce has revealed the reason why Dino Melaye had to jump out of a moving police bus last week even though he ended up being admitted to the hospital as a result of injuries sustained.

Bruce revealed through his Twitter handle that Melaye was asthmatic but the Police were gassing him while transiting him to Lokoja from Abuja on criminal charges.

The television mogul believed Melaye ‘literally escaped death’ and needed to take the expedient action of jumping out of the police van due to the continued use of gas by the police.

Bruce tweeted:

Just met with @dino_melaye. Very sad to hear what transpired. Dino is asthmatic, yet while in transit, the police gassed him & he could barely breathe. Second time they gassed him, he had to force his way out of the vehicle. Dino literally escaped death. SAD!
