As far as chemistry goes, Boj and Ajebutter are definitely in the Hall of Fame. The duo have collaborated frequently over the last couple of years.
It started with Pretty Girl,Jo Funmi and climaxed with Omo Pastor- easily the biggest hit of both their careers. There was also a turn on vet MC, Naeto C’s What U Want.
Against this backdrop, it makes sense that they both went against the tried and trusted formula as they crafted their last quarter 2017 projects- Magic and What Happens in Lagos. Well, talk is that both acts will be collaborating on an EP and Yawa will be the first single on this project
On Yawa, Boj handles the hook while Ajebutter delivers verses in his signature monotone flow and hashtag rap scheme as both acts threaten to respond to any “fuck ups” with yawa. The beat is produced by Spax and features background vocals by Tay Iwar. We’re not sure where it stands when compared to their previous work (You tell us!) but it’s definitely a decent precursor to what’s coming next.
