Boko Haram have shown absolutely no signs that they will be backing down and have actually upped their activities, from the atrocities they have carried out in Baga to the recent release of a video threatening Cameroon that they may soon be victim to similar attacks to those in Nigeria.
Earlier today there was a suicide bombing at the Yen-Kaji area of a major Maiduguri market which claimed the lives of at least 16.
Boko Haram has not taken responsibility of this bombing however there is a belief that everyone has no doubt about who was behind it.
The bomb was set off by a 10 year old girl at a market which Boko Haram attacked late last year.
Borno State police spokesman Gideon Jubrin said that the girl suicide bomber let off an improvised explosive device near the area of the market where chickens were sold.
