The ball has been set rolling for the 2019 general election with the emergence of candidates via primaries of the different parties that will be seeking to get the electorate supports at the poll.
As expected the incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari will be his Party’s candidate for the election as he seeks to be re-elected. Meanwhile no fewer than 30 other candidates are seeking to take his seat at the poll.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has already scheduled the Presidential and National Assembly elections for Saturday, 16th February.
The Governorship and State Assembly/Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council elections have been scheduled for Saturday, 2nd March 2019.
