Jazlyn Guerra, popularly known as the host of her Jazzy’s World TV show, interviewed Burna Boy for her show. The 12-year-old reporter from Bushwick, Brooklyn went viral after managing to secure an interview with Jay-Z in November of last year. On Jazzy’s World TV, she talks with some of the biggest names on the planet in the sports and entertainment world, and has short but insightful one on one conversations with them.

Guerra’s skills and charm have helped her gain more than 255,000 followers on Instagram, 83,000 on YouTube and 736,000 on TikTok. On her latest episode where she had Burna on, they talk about why it is important for Burna to represent Nigeria and Africa in his music, being the first solo Nigerian artist to win a Grammy and what that meant for Burna, and his journey to superstardom.

“That’s really my motto. I just never stop, ever,” Burna says in response to how staying on the grind has helped him get to his current position as a global superstar. On why representing Nigeria and Africa is important to him, Burna says someone has to do it to remind the world that we’re all the same and “all African.” On being the first Nigerian artist to win a solo Grammy, Burna says he feels honored to have gotten something he’d always wanted and is hopeful he can achieve more. “Failure is not permanent and delay is not denial,” Burna says as a word of advice, as the interview comes to a conclusion.
