Behind The Lens at Wizkid’s New York Pop Up Shop

Last Saturday was one of those days that an artist comes to understand how much love a city has for him with Wizkid as he took to New York for his second pop-up shop in recent months, the first in London and a headline performance at the One Africa Music Festival. In all honesty, One Africa was less than likely the highlight of Wiz’s day. The chances, it was the intimate pop-up shop that saw him meet and greet fans at Reign NY are almost a 100%.

Selling t-shirts, hoodies, bandanas, posters, cups and pins, Wiz made his way to the location at about 3:30pm meeting a mob of awaiting and eager fans. It quickly became what many fans had waited for as the singer ascended a cabinet meant for display of the merchandise on sale and broke into some of the fan favourites with his NY fans singing along.
