Are you a young Nigerian with a compelling story, or maybe even a regular one? We want to hear from you! The maiden edition of our upcoming magazine, The Custodian, to capture the diverse experiences, challenges, and triumphs of young Nigerians across the globe. Interested? Who Can Submit?
This call is open to all Nigerians between the ages of 18 – 30, regardless of where they currently reside. Our goal is to create a time capsule of voices that truly represents the Nigerian youth experience in all its complexity and beauty. We celebrate diversity in all its forms and strongly encourage submissions from:
Nigerians living in Nigeria
Nigerians in the diaspora
Queer Nigerians
Nigerians of all ethnic backgrounds, religions, and social experiences
What We’re Looking For
– Authentic voices and unique perspectives
– Stories that challenge stereotypes and offer new insights
– Explorations of what it means to be young and Nigerian in today’s world
– Pieces that resonate with readers aged 18-30, but can appeal to a broader audience

Send your pitches or completed pieces to submissions@culturecustodian.com with the subject line “Flavors of Youth: [Your Name]”
Include a brief bio and any relevant writing samples or portfolio links.
