Cheque Is A Grateful Lover On Olamide-Assisted ‘LOML’

With singles like the Fireboy DML assisted History and Call Me Baby, Cheque has built and maintained the right tempo to aid the meaningful release of his debut album. However, his journey towards a sound, story and society-encompassing body of work inspires and afford him an Olamide feature on LOML, the last single off the soon-to-be-released album.

The Zaki-produced single starts out in an unexpected way, a fiery fusion of flamenco chords strung alongside rhythmic snares that introduce the unlikely but impressive collaboration between himself and Olamide. Already skilled in the art of wooing, Olamide’s dense bass articulation of charming lines only heightens and complements the mesmeric state of Cheque’s carefully chosen words that rhyme not only with each other but with his feelings.

Not one for busy instrumentals, Cheque’s employment of a mid-tempo soundscape that still does a great job of awakening all the relevant senses, highlights his uniqueness and heightens the anticipation of Bravo, his debut album.
