The renowned author and humanitarian who was recently honored with the Special Distinction for Thought Leadership award by the Global Hope Coalition has been conferred with a humanitarian award at the 2018 Action Against Hunger Gala.
Annually, hundreds of Action Against Hunger’s most dedicated supporters come together for an evening of inspiration, hope and to reflect upon Action Against Hunger’s mission to save the lives of children worldwide.
The international Non-Governmental Organisation stated the author as a transformational storyteller who brings diversity, complexity, and humanity to all her professional projects, ranging from best-selling books to TED talks, whose work aligns perfectly with Action Against Hunger’s mission and vision.
Ms. Adichie was presented with the award at the organization’s 19th annual gala, which took place in New York City, and she joins the likes of the Late President Nelson Mandela, Oprah Winfrey, and Archbishop Desmond Tutu as recipients of the award.
